DONATE.DRINK.DANCE

The Why

Toast on the Coast is more than an incredible afternoon of food, wine, music, and community, it’s an investment in the future of our students.

Each year, hundreds of neighbors, local businesses, restaurants, wineries, and community leaders come together to celebrate the best of the Peninsula while raising critical funds for the Peninsula Education Foundation (PEF). Every ticket purchased, auction bid, paddle raise, and donation supports more than 10,000 students across all 17 PVPUSD schools by funding programs that inspire learning, expand opportunities, and help every student thrive.

For more than 46 years, PEF has partnered with our community to help ensure educational excellence by funding essential programs including elementary music and PE teachers, library aides, school counselors, STEM education, teacher grants, student wellness initiatives, and college and career readiness.

Did You Know?

PVPUSD consistently ranks among California’s highest-performing public school districts, yet receives significantly less funding than many comparable districts. While communities like Palo Alto and La Cañada benefit from substantially greater local resources through property tax revenue, PVPUSD relies far more heavily on community philanthropy to preserve the exceptional educational experience our students deserve.

  • Top-performing districtbottom-tier funding. PVPUSD is consistently recognized as one of California’s highest-achieving public school districts and one of the lowest funded for state funding per student.
  • Serving 10,000+ students. Every gift to PEF supports students in all 17 PVPUSD schools.
  • Community-funded excellence. It’s up to us. For more than 46 years, PEF has helped bridge the funding gap so students continue to benefit from outstanding teachers, STEM programs, music, school counselors, library support, and innovative learning opportunities.
